Thus far in MPI104 we have covered Google, Blogger, Flickr, del.icio.us and templates and HTML.
In the first week we were introduced to the subject and read through the subject outline, we also applied for athene account.
The second week we looked closely at Google and its many functions. We discovered that Google had other accessories besides the specific search engines and all applied for a Gmail account. With a Gmail account we were introduced to its functions too, such the calendar (which we subscribed to 'something of interest' from its gallery) and Google doc.
In the third week we made a blog account on blogger (or blogspot) and have been continuously posting blogs ever since. Here is my post on Templates and CSS and on Flickr. We also learnt a little HTML so that we were able put a link from our blog post onto the MPI104 blog Week 3 post. In total I have posted 5 blogs and commented others as well, this is one of my more interesting ones. During week 6 we learnt how to change fonts and templates and applied this to our blogs such as changing the font and its colour and alter the colour of the font in my blog.
The fourth we were introduced to Flickr. We created an account and uploaded pictures. We also faved pictures from our classmate’s Flickr accounts and comment on theirs. I have a total of 29 pictures. I found Flickr useful to upload my VFX 101 W.I.P. Here are some 3 of my favourite images, 1, 2, and 3.
In week five we looked at Del.icio.us, home of the bookmarks. We created an account and add bookmarks of some of our favourite WebPages and classmates accounts. In total I have 39 bookmarks; however three favourites of mine are Deviant art, facebook and Youtube.
Deviant ART is where I spend my majority of internet surfing time on. It’s a interactive online gallery where you can post up your work and have other people favour and comment it and vice versa. It’s really opened up my eyes to different styles and techniques of art and design.
Facebook is a fast easy way to keep in contact with friends and family, see pictures and keep up with events, birthdays and news.
Youtube is extremely handy when wanting to listen and watch nearly anything for free!! Keeps me occupied.
In the sixth week we were introduced to cascading style sheets and templates. After reading up on them and discussing their usefulness we used our knowledge to alter our blogs with HTML.
